What’s your beef with internal ‘meetings’?
NEIL
A bloke I worked with once told me ‘the purpose of a conference is to survive it.’ Internal meetings are just mini-conferences. The more talk there is, the less work gets done and the fewer decisions get made. And yet I’ve seen some very high-profile careers effectively finished by performing badly at them. The trick is to keep your head down and say nothing. Don’t draw attention to yourself. Thus, agencies tend to be run by the invisible.
HEIDI
Can that problem be solved?
NEIL
Yes.

How?

Make the time spent in meetings and conferences an actual drawing on the bottom line of every office whose people participate. Suddenly, you’d find that managements are too busy to go to them.
